No need to exaggerate your catch
Lake Kaitajärvi opens out from the shoreline of the villa. The lake is especially famous for its huge pikes, and it has been restocked with pike-perch, char and lavaret. One Weke fish trap is included in the rent, which is almost sure to guarantee ingredients for your fish soup. We also have fishing rods and angleworms for you. The host and hostess will be happy to assist you in acquiring the necessary fishing licences needed for other types of fishing (see the price list).
In the kitchen of Kaidan Kiho you will find all the necessary equipment needed for handling your catch, as well as cool storage and a freezer. The boards in the barbecue hut are meant for broiling salmon or any greasy fish by an open fire, whereas the big pot is good for stewing a tasty fish soup of other type of fish.
Kalahullu organises fishing trips to lake Saimaa for true fishermen and enthusiastic learners. Other good fishing places in the nearby area are Kuomiojoki and Miekankoski. For further information, please refer to your host Esko.
